Today I lost a Friend, a little Brother, an Angel. RIP Bernard Ogilo. For the 1st time in my life I attended a funeral today so I had to wear Black apparel (the cliche), it was quite an experience but I know he is in a better place and pray for comfort for his family.

Final day of HSE Training, can't wait for it to be over plus its Friday, so an extra day of rest for me.
Was feeling very ladylike this morning so I decided to go for a free yet fitting yellow dress.

Day 3 of DLA Class, the classes are going really well as expected. No better way to learn than to do so with comfy clothing. For me, that interprets a pair of jeans and a tee. In this case 2tees as 1 is a half-top. Like my shirt says "Im Awesome"

Thursday is here! Finally, the last working day of my week....My Patterned on Plain rule is being observed today. Combining a short sleeve top (which I prefer over long sleeve tops) with a pencil dark blue skirt.
I just discovered a new lipstick yesterday and I think I like it a lot; after months of trying to find the right shade of pink.

Its the middle of the week, Thank God. Getting ready to sleep this weekend (i know this sounds pathetic).
I love this shade of electric blue and the flare of the skirt. My bright-on-dark combo rule applies here; if its a bright top, dark bottoms or vice-versa. I'm so tired this morning, I can barely crack a smile.

One of those days u wake up and look for anything  that is ironed and throw pieces together and make an outfit. I really love this grey pants but I wish they were not so big for me. Today is my "Adopted Half-Birthday" and shout out to my colleagues S.D and P.O who celebrated it for me. This black jacket is a lifesaver cos when I cant be bothered, I throw it on top of a tank top and i'm out the door.

Yayyyyyy! The Beginning of my Saturdays of Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA) program in church. I'm super excited because I know i'm gonna learn a lot of interesting stuff + i have 5 other friends of mine attending it too. I practically picked the 1st thing my hand touched when I opened my wardrobe as I was half-asleep at the time I had to leave my house. Chiffon tops are light and comfy for the heat in naija and stretch jeans are comfy too.

I agree that I look kinda pale today thanks to malaria trying to mess with me, so my counter action is to wear a summer bright dress so it lights up my complexion. Being at work is tough instead of being at home resting, but I dont know how much good laying in 1 place would do.  The dress has a nice neckline (hair covering it), really love it.

From my choice of this play-dress and slippers, you know nothing serious like studying should be done today, I deserve a break anyway from all that stress. I Love that even though the dress is very free, it still somehow sticks to your body.

Last day of April! Thank God for bringing me this far. Today is the day im celebrating passing my exams stage 1 of PMP so launched my new grey dress which I got online.
The back has a Low V-back cut (not showing) so it compliments the high neck at the front. Also the detail on the waist reveals a nice waistline by the way the material is clinched.

The exam day finally arrives and I woke up feeling so much better and ready to conquer the exam.
A pair of Footless tights and a print dress was my choice. If the dress was a little bit longer and more fitting, wouldn't have needed the tights. I love the V-cut of the dress too, elongates my neckline.
In other news, I Aced my exams and came out with the 2nd highest scores amongst everyone (yayyyyyyyy me!). What better way to celebrate way than to go see a movie with my family (was my cousin bday luckily) and friends. What a Good Day! Happy Times.......

Memory of days from Camp. Rocking my NYSC Uniform nicely. General CD+Exam preparations day for me today so my head is a bit hot at the moment. By saturday afternoon it will return to its normal state.
Its funny how I survived camp for 3weeks, im sure it was the Chapman+Spirit mix and the small chops that got me through it plus making amazing friends. Even at LG every week, I always make at least 1 new friend.

Still in my feeling girly mood so decided on a grey/ash skirt combined with a green satin top and grey flats. The skirt is well fitted so a free top balances it out and makes it more comfortable. I really need to start making my own satin tops at the rate at which I love wearing them!

I love this color block satin top which suits my skin tone, combined with a shaped skirt and rubber sandals makes the perfect Comfy Tuesday combo. I still think I look bigger this week even though some people think i have lost weight. (Perception differs by individuals I guess).

Back to work after a week away, feels good to be back. I was missed and missed everyone at my office. Its great that colleagues are like family, makes work more fun.
My high shoulder grey fitted dress was the perfect choice to start a fresh week.
The band on the waist accentuates my waist hence showing a good proportion.
I feel so much bigger from no exercise of walking up and down the stairs, maybe its time to hit the gym finally!

Final Day of HSE Training! Yayyyyyyy...What better way to celebrate than with a dress. This black dress has a rope at the back which isn't visible, but it enables you adjust the front so it doesn't look slutty. Im not a huge fan of black dresses because black absorbs heat and this weather does not help matters! And my rubber red sandals; I think rubber sandals are now trending in Lagos for some reason. I just find them comfortable to drive in especially.

Day 4 of HSE Training, 1day to go. As much as I am enjoying it and making new friends (Networking is key), I miss my work family and can't wait to see them on Monday.
My royal blue top which buttons to the neck and dark blue jeans is my outfit for the day. For someone who is busty, I wouldn't advice to wear a top like this that buttons to the neck, because the shirt tends to separate in between the middle buttons and you would require additional pins to prevent this.

(Remember always make sure your  top covers your booty so you don't give people freeview. lol), I also make sure my long tops are a bit free at the end yet fitted for comfort. My hair is packed to the side and somehow I feel so much younger than I am today (No idea why)

Day2 of HSE Training, its really cool especially since I chose to do it myself, not forced my someone.
I have to be as comfortable as possible so i decided on a colour block tee matched with my grey stretch jeans and my hair is packed to the back today.
I actually miss my work colleagues, guess that's what happens when you go from just having colleagues to a work family.And they actually keep informing me how my presence is missed (blushes)

Today is the beginning of my Health and Safety training course with NISP which is from monday to friday this week only so no work for me.
In a simple way, decided on my Aeropostale white shirt, comfy jeans and rubber sandals and off to learn something new. I find lectures very exciting this days.Some people would conclude im notjustok!

Day 2 of PMP Classes right after church so casual sexy is appropriate. After my interesting class, I had to go support my Bestie at the video shoot he was doing for the Chuddy K- Gaga Crazy song in Lagos island. It went really well and I made sure I wasn't featured in it (TV-Shy) but had to look good around the scene. I love this top because it is cut short in the front and longer at the back, can be worn as a casual or formal top depending on how you want to rock it.

Today was the beginning of my Project Management Professional classes with JK Michaels, it was pretty awesome by the way. (Free lunch was included WOW!)
So a comfy tank top and jeans was perfect for the occasion (I regretted this decision later because the classroom was super chilled and had to beg for the AC's to be turned off).
I love the print on the top though, its really modern and doesn't look too animalistic.

Yet another CD Day and the unexpected happened; which put a smile on my face after a rough start. The Local Government Inspector appointed me as the Vice-President of my Anti-corruption CD group. Congrats to me...Some were born great, some achieved greatness, some greatness was thrust upon them...I think the 1st mostly applies to me...FYI: Alexandra (my real name) means Great Warrior!

I swear I look like a Lawyer with my White Frills shirt and Grey pants (which fit nicely on my waist) and Black Heels (which luckily my online order of my outfit arrived in time). I actually miss being a Personal Shopper for BarrettBeauty!

Back to Work, even though I feel like crap with aches, still managed to not let it show on my face and get on with my work (I have serious work ethics I like to live by).
This skirt is kind of high-waisted and the length is just above my knee so a plain tank top with a small fitting jacket simplifies the puffiness of the skirt. And the colors blend well.
I really love the way my hair looks, (Hair from BarrettBeauty), I'm not a fan of super waves and many curls and though I have had it on a couple of times before, the wavyness is still there. Perfect!

Happy Easter everyone! So I started by wearing a long black and blue maxi dress to church with a small jacket (sorry no picture), then saw the Phone Swap movie I had been dying to see at SB. Its  funny that people find going to the cinema alone depressing; I think its great, considering the fact I'm not a cinema-lover.
Then the long awaited AY show at Eko hotel which I wore this small cute outfit to. I love the black and white contrast as it defines my shape well. (Remember, dress to suit your size and style) and my red high heels to compliment the dress. The show was great, especially if you were backstage with the celebs and not in front looking for a chair even after spending 20k on VIP.

Even though I made up my mind not to stand up from my bed till Easter Sunday! That plan was abolished by my father who required my Engineering expertise in fixing some IT related stuff in his office. Since I had to leave my bed anyway, decided to head to the salon to give myself the makeover a Princess like me deserves...Fixed a new hair @BarrettBeauty for hooking me up with the hair.
Decided to wear my super-comfy Harem Pants in black and a striped shirt (which is kind of boyish but works well for a girl when you turn up the sleeves), since my only destination was the salon then back to my bed.
P.S: I discovered without make-up on in this picture, I look a bit younger but thank God for good skin. But its all good!

Its the middle of the week and since its easter this weekend, its going to be a long weekend (Excited)! Looking forward to the AY show on Sunday.
Woke up feeling really good so I chose the brightest colors in my wardrobe; Red(My favorite color) and yellow. Im not really a long sleeve teeshirt person, but sometimes I like to go for something different!
